The CF53 chrome plated induction hardened linear shaft, known by Kiwi Motion as KM-WV, offers enhanced corrosion resistance. With its hard chrome plated outer layer, it provides excellent resilience and works perfectly with our linear bearings. The Process
The chrome surface of our KM-WV linear shafts provides superior wear and corrosion resistance. Our stringent chroming process enhances durability and reduces friction.
All our linear shafts undergo induction hardening, a heat treatment where the shaft is heated via induction heating and then quenched. This process ensures a high standard of linear shafts compared to other steel rods.
This heat treatment increases the hardness and brittleness of the shafts, requiring considerable expertise and experience in cutting and machining to ensure precision and quality.
We demand the very best from our linear shafts, striving for consistency and top standards. This means our shafts achieve the highest levels of straightness, surface hardening, diameter accuracy, surface finish, and material cleanliness.
