The KM-WV-5, 5mm chrome plated linear bearing shaft from Kiwi Motion combines precision engineering with enhanced durability for harsh environments.
With a 5mm diameter and a high-surface-hardness chrome plated finish, this shaft is ideal for compact automation systems and small-scale machinery where both precision and corrosion resistance are essential.
Each 5mm chrome plated shaft is manufactured from CF53 steel and induction hardened to achieve a surface hardness of at least 62 HRC.
The shaft is then chrome plated, providing excellent resistance to corrosion, moisture, and chemical exposure.
This makes it a reliable choice for systems subject to humidity, coolant spray or washdown procedures.
The linear bearing shaft is precision ground to an h7 tolerance, with roundness held within 5 µm and straightness within 0.25 mm per metre. This ensures smooth, low-friction motion and long-term accuracy even in demanding environments.
